FOUR people needed treatment when a car towing a caravan crashed on a Hampshire dual carriageway in the early hours of this morning.

The casualties were treated by paramedics following the smash on the A303 westbound carriageway at Popham Services near Micheldever at 4.15am.

A Silver Peugeot 406 towing a caravan collided with a red Vauxhall Astra.

All three emergency services were called and the whole carriageway was initially blocked before one lane opened.

A spokeswoman for South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) said all four patients were checked over at the roadside for minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment.

The road was reopened by 6.30am.
