A MAN was cut free from a wall cavity at a building site in Basingstoke after becoming trapped.
Firefighters from Basingstoke and Tadley were called to the incident in Kingsclere Road at 1.33pm yesterday, where Sentinel Housing and Barratt David Wilson are building a 578 home development at the former Eli Lilly site.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said firefighters spent an hour freeing the 50-year-old man, before treating him at the scene and handing his care over to South Central Ambulance Service.
Police were also called to the incident.
It is not known if the man was a worker on the site.
Basingstoke fire station posted a Tweet saying: "Called out to help a gent trapped in a very precarious position on a site being demolished."
