POLICE are looking for information after a robbery at Coral bookmakers in Hook.

A man carrying a knife approached the counter of the bookies, in Station Road, Hook, and demanded money from the 30-year-old shop worker.

The man took approximately £780 before heading off in the direction of the Tesco supermarket on Monday May 2 between 9.25pm and 9.35pm. 

Detectives have since released a CCTV image of a man they wish to speak to about the incident. 

The man is described as wearing a black Nike hooded top and trousers, balaclava and trainers, and was carrying an orange-coloured bag.

Detective Constable Mark Ogburn, from Aldershot CID, said: “This is a rare incident to take place in Hook, but I would appeal for anyone who has any information about what happened to contact us as soon as possible.

“Were you in the Station Road area at around this time? Perhaps you were in one of the nearby pubs or restaurants? Did you see a man dressed in black acting suspiciously? If so, please get contact us.”
