ARE you a skilled tradesperson? Would you be interested in passing on your knowledge and skills?
Tonight from 6pm Basingstoke College of Technology is holding an Information Evening for anyone who has technical skills and is considering a move into teaching.
The college is particularly interested to hear from experienced plumbers, carpenters and engineers as well as anyone who would like to teach English or mathematics.
Not sure about teaching in a classroom or workshop? BCoT is also looking for assessors in a variety of skills areas including business, hospitality, warehousing and human resources - if you have good professional/industrial experience, the college can train you to take on this rewarding way of passing on your expertise.
No teaching qualifications are required as the college can support you to achieve these* but patience and a desire to share your knowledge are essential.
The event will take place in BCoT's Restaurant. Please book in by emailing stella.holmes@bcot.ac.uk or call her on 01256 306369.
There will be the opportunity to talk to existing staff and students, view the excellent facilities and find out about the teaching qualifications available.
*conditions apply; please ask for details.
