BATTLE of Brittan 75th Anniversary took place last Sunday at St Mary’s Church, where our local ATC 2403 Aldermaston Squadron took part by marching from the community centre to the church for the service.
MACMILLAN Breakfast: St Mary’s Church is also holding a Macmillan Breakfast on Friday, September 25, from 7.30am to 10am, in aid of the Macmillan Coffee Morning (last year they had to send out for more supplies). All are welcome – and it’s well worth going to.
SWIMATHON: Loddon Valley Lions are holding a sponsored Swimathon at Tadley Pool on Saturday, October 24, from 5pm to 8pm. Visit their website for more information and to download an entry form loddonvalleylions.org. There is a £100 prize to the team with the highest sponsorship.
Sponsorship proceeds to be split 50/50 with each team’s organisation/charity and Loddon Valley Lions Club. Entry limited to 20 teams of between four and six swimmers.
