OVER 300 local performers will take part in this year’s Basingstoke Variety Show which raises much-needed funds for the Mayor’s charity appeal.

The show, which will take place at The Anvil, from 7.30pm on Saturday, October 3, will showcase a range of talent from across the borough and will feature musical, dance and theatrical performances.

Performers on the night will include Lisa Beaumont School of Ballet, Footsteps, Basingstoke Gang Show, Basingstoke Amateur Operatic Society Limelight, Robyn Andrews, Zack Stephens and performances from acts picked from an open audition day held in July, including Jade Hollingshead, Jack Trinder and B-Yellow.

They will also be joined by pupils from Park View Junior School, Kempshott Infant School and Merton Infant School.

The Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane, Councillor Anne Court, said: “We are so lucky to have such a great pool of talent in the borough.

“The Basingstoke Variety Show is a fantastic event run by the community for the community and I hope that people will get tickets and come along to support to not only everyone taking part but also my chosen charities; Inspero, Basingstoke Multicultural Forum and Ark Cancer Centre Charity.”

Tickets for the show are priced at £14 for adults and £10 for under 16s and senior citizens (which includes a £1 booking fee). To book tickets, contact the box office on 01256 844244 or visit anvilarts.org.uk.
