PART of a hoard of Anglo Saxon coins found by a metal detecting group is set to go on display.
More than 5,000 silver coins worth up to £1.3million were found in a Buckinghamshire field in December last year by a member of the Weekend Wanderers Detecting Club, run by North Warnborough man Peter Welch.
Some of the coins date back more than 1,000 years and feature the faces of Anglo Saxon and Viking kings.
The find is still being catalogued by the British Museum but a coroner has given permission for a handful to go on display at Bucks County Museum.
