THE Tony Skeats/Dave Powell memorial match was fished at New Barlows Lake last Saturday, where Bartosz Recki topped out with 50lb 2oz of carp and tench on pole and pellet.

Steve Telford took second place with 22lb of carp on pole and pellet, followed by Roger Gilbert with 19lb.

All the prize winners donated their winnings to St Michael’s Hospice.

Bato Baits supplied giveaways for all participants and Keith Brown supplied a barbecue free of charge.

The event raised £275.29 for St Michael’s Hospice.

Kennet Ospreys’ latest match was at Gold Valley Middle and Syndicate Lake, where Bartosz Recki made it two wins in two days, topping out with 133lb of carp on bomb and pellet.

Tomaz Wojcik used the same method for his 113lb of carp, as did Roger Beales for 74lb 12oz.

Twenty-seven fished and caught.

Adventure AS went to Dandy’s Lane Lake for their latest match, where match secretary Nick Sargent won it with 108lb 12oz of carp on pole and meat.

Robin Guppy’s 103lb of carp was a pole and pellet affair, while Mick Fordham weighed in with 81lb 12oz.

Twenty-four fished and caught.

Camrose AC took themselves to St Patrick’s Lake, in Liss, where Paul Bassinder got it right and won with 65lb 4oz of carp on the pellet waggler. Bill Atkinson utilised pole and maggot for his 24lb 13oz of roach and carp. Paul Hunt put 24lb 8oz of roach and carp on the scales.

Basingstoke Railway Piscatorials were at Cheriton Farm last Sunday, where Staceys supremo Keith Brown topped out with 94lb of carp on pole and maggot. Paul Upton put pole and pellet to good use for runner-up spot and 65lb of carp. Trevor Matthews came next with 55lb 2oz.

Seventeen fished and all caught.

I was asked not to mention the fact that Keith Brown went to a fishing match last week minus his seat box and had to travel all the way home to get it.
