THE BBC DJ suspended for saying breastfeeding was "unnatural" is at the centre of a new storm after apparently posting online about "chavvy mums with their boobs out".

In a post on his show's Facebook page, Alex Dyke wrote: "I have had a few complaints from angry mums. We all know breast is best.

"My point was fat chavvy mums with their boobs out on buses isn't a good look. A classy discreet mum is absolutely fine."

In a later post, he wrote: "Well I really don't want to offend anybody. I love babies I have three children myself but both my wives decided on their own not to breastfeed in public as they didn't want to be looked at.

"As always there are a few who ruin it for others. We all know the ones I mean. They do it in a loud animated way and once they have grabbed your attention they look at you as if to say 'what you lookin' at?'.

I'm not talking about all these mums on here that have read it on a blog and do it in a tasteful way, but if I've got folks talking about it that's got to be good."

The first post has since been removed from the page, which has almost 2,000 fans, although the second remains.

Hampshire Chronicle:
