TWO dogs have died in a fire in Old Basing this morning.
Firefighters from Basingstoke fire station were called to reports of a fire at a mobile home in Newnham Lane, Old Basing at around 6am this morning.
However, the fire had been put out when they arrived at the scene.
Firefighters spent around 25 minutes performing CPR and oxygen therapy on the two springer dogs but they were unable to save them.
Crew manager Stu Eade told The Gazette that the fire service believe the fire was caused by a battery charger.
The property suffered smoke damage during the fire.
