Nearly £4,000 has been raised for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance
THE former chairman of Hart District Council raised nearly £4,000 for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.
Councillor Myra Billings, who left the one-year position in May, met with a representative of the charity to hand over a cheque for £3,765.60.
Events that took place during her year in office included a curry evening, a charity dinner and a jumble sale.
Cllr Alan Oliver, who represents the Fleet Central ward for the Community Campaign Hart party, has taken over as chairman.
His chosen charity is the Hart Foodbank.
