A PACKED programme of free events is being offered to young people in Basingstoke this summer.
Summer Streetz, which is run by the borough council in partnership with its partners in the public, private and community sectors, will run from Monday, July 27 to Friday, August 28 and will include a range of free activities such as creative art and music sessions, a range of sports, street dance and open access youth club sessions.
The programme, which is in its seventh year, will run at community venues across the borough including in Bramley, Brighton Hill, Buckskin and South Ham.
Summer Streetz is funded by the council with sponsorship from Affinity Sutton Housing Association, Anvil Arts and support from Safer North Hampshire.
The borough council’s cabinet member for partnerships, Councillor Cathy Osselton, said: “I know so many young people are looking forward to getting involved this year and even trying out new activities.”
