A TOP Hampshire chef has launched a cookery school.
BBC2’S Great British Menu (2014) main course winner James Durrant has opened the school with a chef’s table and private dining facility at his award-winning The Plough Inn.
James’ Kitchen Table is set in the pretty gardens of the Longparish restaurant.
James, has designed the programme and will personally host the range of cookery classes in a purpose-built, state-of-the-art kitchen.
He said: “These friendly and informal classes are aimed at small groups of domestic cooks of all abilities. The classes are designed to help students develop an awareness of what is possible to achieve in the average home kitchen and to learn new shopping, cooking and presentation skills.”
The classes are hands-on with students being taught in small groups how to cook and present dishes based on a range of recipes prepared by James.
