CYCLISTS in Odiham hope to raise plenty of cash when they hold an inaugural cycling sportive this summer.
Odiham Cycling Club will hold The Tour of the Candovers on Sunday, August 16, starting from Robert May’s School in West Street.
Those taking part will be able to choose from three different courses with three distances – 60, 40 and eight miles.
Money raised on the day will go to Naomi House Children’s Hospice in Sutton Scotney.
Richard Burbage, a member of the Odiham Cycling Club Committee, said: “This is the first event that Odiham Cycling Club has arranged but we hope this will become an annual event and so this is a great opportunity to get in at the beginning.
“We hope to raise a lot of money for Naomi House Children’s Hospice and also give the local community their own annual cycling sportive involving some of the best North Hampshire scenery.
“It’s very much a familyfriendly event with a choice of distances for novices and regular cyclists too.”
Entry prices start from £12.
