THIS is the man detectives want to speak to about the sexual assault of two girls in South Ham earlier this year.

As reported in The Gazette, the two teenage girls were sexually assaulted as they walked in the Paddock Road area between 10.45pm and 11pm on Friday, February 6.

At the time, police carried out house to house enquiries and reviewed CCTV in the area.

Officers also made a public appeal to trace a dog walker the girls said they spoke to after the assault.

Now Hampshire Constabulary have released a CCTV still image of a man they would like to speak to about the sexual assault.

He is described as white with darker skin, more than 60-year-old, and had a thick, grey moustache which dipped down the mouth corners, with dark face stubble.

He also had grey, short, scruffy hair with a lighter colour in the fringe, deep wrinkles on the sides of his face and around the eyes, and wore a grey coat with a collar high on the neck.

Detective Constable Ed Tyrie from the Northern Investigation team said: “Please be assured that since the incident was reported to us we have undertaken significant enquiries which have now led to us releasing this CCTV image.

“We are keen to trace the man in the CCTV image; he may hold information which could assist our investigation.

“Anyone who believes they may recognise this man is asked to contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact DC Ed Tyrie at the Northern Investigation Team on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
