HATCH Warren AGM: The lounge of the community centre was packed last Wednesday for the annual general meeting of the community association. There were a few changes to the committee with thanks given for all the hard work of those stepping down.
Stuart Coleman was re-elected chairman. After a huge effort from the leadership of the association last year saw a trading surplus which will be needed this year for all the exciting plans to come. The lounge is due to be extended to enable the After School Club a much-needed expansion. The hall should be sound proofed. Both of these moves will also allow the centre to increase bookings. The association will also take over the running of the new Beggarwood Community Centre once it is built and ready.
NEPAL fundraiser: The School Council, of Hatch Warren Juniors, recently held a cake and coffee afternoon to raise funds for the Nepal Appeal. The afternoon raised an amazing £712.13, a big well done!
