VILLAGERS in Hartley Wintney will come together for a popular festival on Saturday.

The annual Hartley Wintney Festival will return to Oak Common from 12.30pm on Saturday when a float procession will entertain guests around the village green.

The event, which is organised by the Rotary Club of Hart, will also feature a marching band musical display, Morris Men performances, tug of war competitions and children’s races in an arena.

Outside the arena, there will be plenty of fun on offer for youngsters including a puppet show, a bouncy castle, sumo wrestling and a mini fairground.

For adults, there will be a classic car display and a range of refreshments on offer including burgers, baked cakes, teas and ice cream.

Proceeds from the sale of programmes and a street collection will go to St Michael’s Hospice, in Aldermaston Road and any additional surplus will go to other local and international good causes.
