CREATE a Jurassic Basingstoke - that's the task set for schools ahead of the opening of a new dinosaur exhibition.
DINOFEST2015 will see some of the world's top dinosaur exhibits come to Milestones Museum this summer.
And organisers are appealing to children to use their imagination to create a model of their own dinosaur world.
They want children to imagine what Basingstoke would have looked like when dinosaurs roamed the earth and what they would look like.
The winning entry will have their model on display for the duration of the exhibition, which runs from Saturday, June 13 to Saturday, September 27.
The winning school will also be invited to attend a press launch event for the exhibition on Tuesday, June 16, during which the children will be the first school to experience it and the animatronic dinosaurs from the Natural History Museum.
To take part, contact email Deborah Neubauer at the Hampshire Cultural Trust by emailing deborah.neubauer@hampshireculturaltrust.org.uk.
The school will then be sent a roll of paper on which to create their dinosaur world.
Once completed, a picture of the model can be emailed to the same address.
Entries need to be received by 2pm on Friday, June 5.
