THE RSPCA is looking for an injured duck that was shot.
The animal charity told The Gazette that a member of the public reported that the bird had been shot on April 16 in Long Sutton.
A spokeswoman fro the RSPCA said: "It's still under investigation. All we know is that a duck was shot in its left wing and the person who reported it thought they saw a man. We are just trying to find out what happened."
She said that the RSPCA's main priority was to find the injured duck, adding: "The duck is still alive but it's badly injured so we are keen to try and get hold of it. It's obviously scared.
"We are looking into who could possibly have done it. We do have some leads."
