I HAVE always been a huge lover of music and have an extensive CD collection.

Problem is that life can get so busy that I haven’t played many of my albums for years.

I vowed a while back that I would make a bid to change that and deliberately give a spin to albums that had been gathering dust.

And, what treats awaited.

I had forgotten how good the likes of “London Calling” (The Clash) “Setting Sons” (The Jam) and the first three Pogues albums were.

It made me think that often in life, we get so busy that we either forget about many of the wonderful gifts God has given us, or we take them for granted.

Our families, our friends, our homes, jobs (if we are fortunate to have one), the things we love doing, the beautiful countryside around us and so on.

It served as a reminder that God calls us to live life to the full and to take time out to enjoy and appreciate all that he offers us.
