New solar farm could be built in Tadley if plan approved
A NEW solar farm could be built in Tadley if plans are given the green light by Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.
Renplan Consulting has submitted a request for a screening opinion for a 17.8-hectare parcel of land at Ash Park, in Ash Lane, Tadley.
The proposal is to build a five megawatt solar farm which will provide enough energy to power 1,515 homes. A screening opinion is often seen as a pre-cursor for a full planning application.
The borough council will make a decision on the application by July 7.
