POLICE are looking for thieves who broke into a secondary school and stole paint.

As reported in last week’s Gazette, a telephone box in Queens Street, Whitchurch was vandalised with paint splattered all over it.

Now, police have issued an appeal to anyone who might have seen the offenders.

It is thought they stole the paint after breaking a window and gaining access to Test-bourne Community School, in Micheldever Road, Whitchurch, between 11.30pm on March 20 and 9.45am the following morning.

Several plastic bottles of paint were stolen and it is believed they were used to vandalise the phone box as well as vehicles which were parked in The Knowlings.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who might have been in the Micheldever Road and Queens Street area at the time or who might have seen anyone acting suspiciously or possibly carrying plastic bottles.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Paula Deery on 101, quoting 44150098032.
