A BRAND new music festival is being planned for May.

The Tadley Tea Party will take over the Tadley Calleva FC ground, at Barlow’s Park, on Saturday, May 23, for 12 hours of music, attractions and food and drink stalls.

The event has been organised by Pete Newton and Jason Nash, who were behind Petefest – a mini festival in Wasing woods.

The success of this event inspired the pair to work on an even bigger project, and donate profits made back to the local community.

Jason said: “We have used traditional festival favourites and blended them with modern technology to bring the first interactive festival ever seen in the area.

“It will hopefully grow year after year, giving local bands and music lovers the opportunity to come together while supporting the local community and charities.

“Giving something back is the most important part of the festival as it means that we can reach out to more people even if they didn’t attend the event. Each year, we’ll decide which local organisation will benefit.”

There will be various stages set up at the festival, with local boy band Concept and The Hazards headlining the main Wonderland stage, which will also feature Johnny Marvel’s Blues Groove, Caddy Cooper, The Firm and Rob Unique’s School Disco.

The Mad Hatter’s Dance Party will showcase the talents of DJs Roger Moffatt, Joe Vickers, Andy Funkfusion, Jay P, Paul Casey and a special guest.

The event will support Tadley Calleva FC and the Helping Hands Charity Shop in Franklin Avenue, Tadley.
