BASINGSTOKE MP Maria Miller has welcomed new figures which show that Basingstoke has one of the lowest levels of unemployment in the country.
The figures show that unemployment has fallen from more than 2,500 during the recession to 759 currently.
Mrs Miller said: “Basingstoke saw 1,000 new businesses created last year and this year big new employers like John Lewis, Waitrose and Network Rail will make Basingstoke their home.”
