SPEEDWATCH: Time to slow down and not just when you see the local SpeedWatch team volunteers out on patrol. The Black Dam improvement works has led to a noticeable increase in speeding traffic in the village.
Great Binfields Road is an area of concern, especially around school collection times. Identified problem areas are reported to the police and enforcement action can be taken.
PARISH elections: Take place on May 7, so if you want to preserve and enhance our local area by standing for election, contact the parish office on 462847.
WORK party: With the Mill Field Conservation Group on March 15, from 10am at the Barton’s Mill Play area. Refreshments and equipment are provided.
THE Waterloo Bicentennial this year: Is marked at 7.30pm, in the Basing House Education Centre, on Tuesday, with a lecture on “Wellington: The Iron Duke or Old Nosey?” All welcome.
