Pony rescued from ditch
A PONY got a helping hand from firefighters after getting stuck in a ditch in Odiham.
The animal rescue took place in a ditch in Hillside Road, Rye Common, after a member of the public reported the animal stuck at 12.24pm on Sunday.
A fire crew from Fleet and an animal rescue specialist attended to the pony and it was freed by 12.48pm. No machinery was used.
