A BASINGSTOKE woman has recorded a single to raise money for a cause close to her heart.

Steph Oszczyk lost her mother, Stacey, to breast cancer in 2010.

She spent the last few weeks of her life in St Michael’s Hospice, before she died aged 49.

Steph said: “She was really well looked after, as were me, my dad, gran and sister.”

Steph has now recorded a song called Butterfly – which was created from a poem she read at her mother’s funeral – and released it to raise funds for St Michael’s Hospice, in Aldermaston Road.

The 28-year-old is now hoping people will buy the track from eBay to raise funds for the hospice.

She said: “My family have always done what we can since to support the hospice as we are so grateful for how they cared for my mum and continued to offer us help after she died.”

To buy the track, visit ebay.co.uk and search for ‘Butterfly charity single’ or ‘St Michael’s Hospice’.
