IT IS an opportunity too good to just Let It Go.

So one Basingstoke woman is making the most of her striking resemblance to Disney’s latest princess, helping to bring Frozen dreams come true across the world.

Jade Armitage has become a real life Elsa impersonator and since transforming herself into the blonde heroine, she had seen her business entertaining children at Frozen-themed parties boom in just six months.

Her likeness is so uncanny that she has even had requests for video messages from as far afield as America and Australia.

The 32-year-old, from Kings Furlong, said she often has to sing the hit song Let It Go on a daily basis, adding: “I think my neighbours are sick to death of hearing me.”

As part of her work, Jade also offers a personalised video message service from Elsa, which has proved a hit with youngsters.

She said: “I will create a five minute video of myself as Elsa talking to a child and wishing them happy birthday, or congratulations on joining big school, that kind of thing, which I do in my spare bedroom.

“This message service has been a big hit and I’ve had some amazing feedback. It’s so rewarding to hear that you have made a little girl’s day and when doing parties you are creating memories for these children that last a lifetime.”

Jade uploads all her video messages to YouTube, which has resulted in international attention and she even learnt a few Spanish words for a message to a little girl in Spain.

Jade fits in being an Elsa impersonator around her nine-to-five office job at Business Environment, in Basing View, and she regularly pops home in her lunch break to make a quick transformation into Elsa to record a video, before heading back to work.

She can manage to complete the full transformation in just 45 minutes and said: “The hair takes the longest. I have to rush home at lunch and rush back to work.”

She added: “Everyone at work is so used to it because I get all the deliveries there and they are addressed to Princess Jade.”

Jade decided to set up the business after realising her likeness to Elsa. She said: “I’m fortunate enough to be told quite often that I make a very convincing Elsa, which is nice and I think sets me aside from a lot of impersonators I have seen, as they don’t seem to resemble the character at all.”

She added: “People say I’m the most convincing Elsa they have seen, which is such a compliment.”

Along with two friends, Jade also runs Frozen sing-along events and has even roped in her partner Chris Gregory to play the role of Kristoff and her mother to play Olaf.

She said: “We have had two of these so far and they have been a great success.”
