MULTI-TALENTED BCoT student Aimee Potter produced a piece of artwork that has stunned her tutors and peers.

Aimee impressed everybody when she produced an incredible portrait in her lessons. This caught the attention of the art and design department at BCoT, which is looking forward to her applying for a place on a full-time course upon completion of a directions course.

Directions courses at BCoT are designed to help improve English, maths and personal social development skills.

Students also have the opportunity to learn the basics of two technical courses to see where they may wish to progress to at the end of their course.

Aimee studies art and catering as her two technical courses and has found a real passion for art.

However, this is not her only talent. She was recently asked by a deputy principal to sing at her leaving party in the college’s restaurant and received a standing ovation for her performance.

Aimee is an aspiring tattoo artist and believes that she is on the right path to achieving her career goal.

She said: “I’m really enjoying directions at BCoT. It has allowed me to find an interest in art and I hope this will set me up for progression on to a full-time course.

“The support I have received has helped me to build my confidence while learning new skills and improving my English and maths grades.
