THE latest series of Celebrity Big Brother ends tonight, having attracted millions of viewers and thousands of complaints.

One celebrity - Alexander O'Neal - walked out, with two more pulled from the house by show bosses amid controversy over their behaviour.

The latest evictions leave 58-year-old Keith Chegwin, from Ashmansworth, up against Calum Best, Katie Hopkins, Michelle Visage and Katie Price fighting it out to be named winner of the Channel 5 show.

This year's show has pulled in an average audience of three million viewers and regularly hit the headlines - notably when former Baywatch star Jeremy Jackson was kicked out just three days in for pulling glamour model Chloe Goodman's bathrobe open.

He was issued with a police caution for common assault over the incident.

That was followed by the removal of ex-Coronation Street actor Ken Morley who repeatedly clashed with his housemates and was evicted for using ''unacceptable language'' including repeated use of the word ''negro''.

Media watchdog Ofcom said it had received 2,646 complaints about the series so far, with many of them about the language used by the contestants. They are being assessed before Ofcom decides whether to investigate.

Celebrity Big Brother started life as a spin-off of the main show on Channel 4 before both were dropped and then picked up by rival broadcaster Channel 5.
