MORE than £1,000 was raised by pupils at a Basingstoke junior school, who used their entrepreneurial skills to make money for charity.

Youngsters at Kings Furlong Junior School, in Upper Chestnut Drive, Basingstoke, made items to sell at a market, where they also entertained visitors by singing.

A cheque for £1,028.14 has now been presented by the school to representatives from Sebastian’s Action Trust, which runs a holiday home for seriously-ill children and their families in North Waltham.
