A BREATH of fresh air...or is it relief ?: Local Burns Night organisers are thrilled that Bonnie Scotland remains in the United Kingdom, so it is fortuitous that Rotherwick will be hosting not one but two celebrations this year.

Top of the list is Tylney Hall, which will be presenting its very first Burns Night Supper on the night itself, this Sunday.

The evening will feature a drinks and canapé reception, four-course stunning Scottish meal and the chance to reel the night away to the prestigious Frank Reid Band.

Next on the agenda is Rotherwick Village Hall, where more Burns celebrations will be taking place next Friday, also with dinner and dancing!

Both events promise a local Olympic piper – whose professional career started at a Rotherwick Burns Night – and villager Councillor Jonathan Glen, reciting – and acting out – the famous ‘Address to the Haggis’.
