A CHRISTMAS market in Oakley pulled in the punters and pulled in the pounds for charity.
The market was held at St Leonard’s Centre, in Rectory Road, to raise money for Sebastian’s Action Trust, which owns The Bluebells – a respite holiday home for seriously-ill children and their families in North Waltham.
Over 500 people turned out in support of the event which raised £509 for the charity.
Visitors to the community centre had the chance to get stuck in and do some Christmas shopping, with local businesses including Honeysuckle Interiors and Jolly Olly’s selling their products.
Tracey Edwards, who helped to organise the market, told The Gazette: “Everybody seemed to enjoy it. It was really busy.”
