‘CARDBOARD Saturday’: This Saturday, from 10am to noon, Brookvale Community Association invites local residents to spread cardboard on the weeds at Brookvale Village Hall, in Lower Brook Street, cover it with the chippings provided, and pop into the hall for a free cup of tea. The event will be repeated (for Christmas cardboard) on January 3.
BROOKVALE Community Association: Last month’s committee meeting discussed the association’s events programme and local lottery, as well as local planning and environmental issues. Money from the lottery is to be used for hard landscaping.
RAPUNZEL: Proteus Theatre’s production of Rapunzel is taking place at the village hall on Sunday, January 11, at 2.30pm. Call the box office on 01256 324313 for tickets.
The association has a range of volunteering opportunities, including fundraising, canvassing to promote Brookvale in Bloom, tea making for the toddler group, and fire alarm testing. Email info@brookvale.org.uk if you can help.
