MEMBERS of staff from a Basingstoke bank held a day full of Disney fun to pull in the pounds for charity.
Staff from Santander, in Festival Place, held a Disney-themed fund-raising day and raised around £400 for the NSPCC children’s charity.
The bank was given a hand by Absolute Entertainment, which is based in Buckskin, who provided two people to dress up as Frozen character Olaf and Mickey Mouse.
In addition, branch manager Helen Johnson joined in the fun, dressing up as Minnie Mouse and parading through the shopping centre to encourage people to donate to the appeal.
In the bank, activities such as a Crystal Maze-inspired money grab, cake and sweet sales and a guess-how-many-sweets-are-in-the-jar competition drew in crowds. A life-size cuddly bear is also being auctioned to raise extra funds for NSPCC.
Helen told The Gazette: “The fundraiser went really well. Each year, Santander appoints a new charity and staff get an opportunity to vote through the internal site on who we feel is best.
“The staff all enjoyed it and they had a brilliant day, and we are grateful for the support of our customers.”
