CHRISTMAS Craft Fair: A quick reminder of the Christmas Craft Fair, which will be held this Sunday, at the community centre from 2pm until 4pm. This promises to be a great chance to buy some locally sourced Christmas gifts. Entrance is 50p, free for children.
ADVENT activity morning: It’s that time of the year again, Christmas is just around the corner and Immanuel Church will be holding a special Advent activity morning this Saturday, from 10am until noon.
The activity is free for all the family, and will take place at the Church Centre, at St Mark’s School, in Danebury Road.
UNPLEASANT smell: Local residents, especially from Beggarwood, were reporting an unpleasant smell in the area last weekend.
The suggestion was that it may have come from the digester across the motorway bridge, but this may or may not have been the case.
If anyone is concerned that they may be detecting an emission smell from the digester, please let me know or better still, report it immediately to the Environment Agency on their 24-hour hotline number on 0800 80 70 60.
