A MAN in his sixties was injured last night after the minibus he was driving clipped a car and swerved off the road, firefighters have said.
A crew of ten firefighters from Basingstoke station were called to the A30 at Water End between Old Basing and Hook after a member of the public called 999.
Police and two ambulance crews were also called to the scene shortly before 11pm.
Crew manager Dan Trump said: “The minibus was a taxi and only the driver was in the vehicle at the time.
“We removed the door of the minibus so he could exit through the side.
“It appears that he clipped a car and swerved off the road.
“He was taken to hospital with a broken ankle and a head injury.”
The firefighters stayed on the scene for around 45 minutes.
