Tickets for the church’s Christmas lunch are now on sale at a cost of £10 per person – the lunch will take place on Tuesday, December 16, and places must be booked in advance.

SCHOOL expansion: The £3.6million project to expand Great Binfields Primary School is now well under way.

Draft plans have been put together and modified in response to headteacher and governor concerns.

The intention is that – subject to planning permission – the new extension will be ready for occupation at the start of the Autumn 2016 term. The county council, ahead of its proposal to submit a planning application, is inviting local residents and parents to a drop-in session next Monday, between 5pm and 7.30pm at the school, when county officers will be available to discuss plans.
