JOB opportunities are on the up in Basingstoke, according to Top of The Town recruitment firm Hays.
Katy Walker, business director at Hays’ Copenhagen Court office, in New Street, said: “After moving to a new office last year as a team of nine, we are now a team of 26 and are constantly growing. Hiring has increased so much in Basingstoke and the surrounding towns that we have seen the number of candidates offered job interviews more than double. There are jobs with growing local businesses and established corporate companies, so workers don’t need to look further afield for jobs.”
Katy said vacancies across accountancy and finance, office support, IT, marketing and HR have increased due to growing local businesses and expansion of a number of head offices in the area.
