Whitchurch residents petition council to keep public toilets open
A PETITION calling for the public toilets in Whitchurch to be reopened has been submitted to Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.
Whitchurch borough councillor Eric Dunlop submitted the petition, which has 200 signatures, at the recent full council meeting and said that the toilets in Bell Street were vital to ensuring visitors came to the town.
The petition will now be considered by Councillor Hayley Eachus, borough Cabinet member for community services and the environment.
