BASINGSTOKE mum and entrepreneur, Kate Hope, is a finalist in The Mumpreneur Awards.

The mother of two, from Old Basing, who runs Hope & Rainbows, designing and producing alphabetically themed gifts for babies and children, has been shortlisted for the Future Star award.

The category – one of 12 – has been created for those businesses which are considered ‘ones to watch.’ The annual awards, now in their sixth year, celebrate parents throughout the UK who manage the difficult task of juggling business with family life.

Having launched Hope & Rainbows in July 2013, Kate has built up a beautiful collection of over 80 designs, most of which can be personalised.

She said “I am delighted to have been recognised for this. It’s been a very exciting year for me.

“My family, and especially my two girls, have been so incredibly patient and supportive, while I work so hard to build the business.

“I’m really excited to find out if I’ve won the award – it would make it all very, very worthwhile.”

As well as being shortlisted for the Future Star category, Kate is also in with a chance of winning the title of The Inspirational Business Mum 2014 award, which is open to all of the finalists.

Winners will be announced on November 8, at The Mumpreneur Conference, which is to be held at the Heart of England Conference Centre in Warwickshire.
