GENEROUS shoppers dug deep for a Basingstoke hospice earlier this month.
Collectors for St Michael’s Hospice, in Aldermaston Road, raised £1,124.04 at Sainsbury’s supermarket, in Hatch Warren, on October 10 and 11.
The money raised will go towards the care that the hospice provides through its in-patient unit, home service and out-patient services. Care is provided free of charge but the hospice needs to raise £2.4million a year to be able to provide the service.
