POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a woman was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries following a road collision this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to Alexandra Road, opposite Downsland Road, in Basingstoke at around 3.50pm this afternoon.
A 33-year-old female pedestrian was involved in a collision with a grey Yamaha motorbike and was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital with life-threatening head injuries.
A 26-year-old man and three young children were also left with minor injuries and were treated by paramedics at the scene.
The motorcyclist - a man in his twenties - was treated by paramedics and is helping officers with their inquiries.
No arrests have been made at this stage.
