TWENTY new jobs are set to be created after a home care provider across Basingstoke launched a recruitment drive to meet the increasing demand for its services.

Carewatch Basingstoke will be holding recruitment open days for people interested in a career in social care and are hoping to recruit 20 new care staff.

Open days will be taking place at Morton House, in Kimbell Road, South Ham between 10.30am and 3.30pm on October 28, November 4 and November 11.

Carewatch will be looking to recruit people who are compassionate, considerate and who want to make a real difference to the lives of others.

Flexible working hours will be offered and will include the chance to work a few hours each week or full-time hours, as well as alternate weekends. Full training and support will be given.

The role includes providing personal care and practical support to customers, such as bathing and dressing, shopping and accompanying them to clubs.

Neil Johnson, branch manager at Carewatch Basingstoke, said: “Quality care and support workers are key to our organisation’s services, but we need to recruit more if we are to meet the challenges of the UK’s ageing population.

“We’re looking for compassionate people to join our team of professionals, enabling our customers to retain their independence, dignity and security, in their own home. This is a demanding but fulfilling career. If you believe you have the right qualities, we’d love to hear from you.”

If you would like to attend one of the open days, contact Sue Lockyer at Carewatch Basingstoke on 01256 303900 or go along on the day.
