STAFF at a Basingstoke business donned fancy dress as they took part in a fundraising day.
Staff at Hobbycraft, in Winchester Road, embraced a circus-style theme as part of a special push to pull in the pounds for Naomi House children’s hospice, in Sutton Scotney.
Activities for shoppers included face-painting, a game in which fabric chickens could be thrown at a staff member, and a cake sale.
Team leader Sarah Garner, who dressed up as a fortune teller, said: “We all got into the spirit of it and the customers seemed to be laughing at our expense!”
The day was part of a national campaign by the chain to support children’s hospices.
