A PARK in Hartley Wintney has been recognised for its quality.
Central Commons, in the centre of the village, has been awarded Green Flag status by the environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy.
The area includes Phoenix Green Common, West Green Common and the Mild May Oaks.
It is the fourth year running that the park, managed by Hart District council’s countryside team, has won the award.
Elvetham Heath Local Nature Reserve also received the award. The awards mean that both parks will be able to fly the flag as a sign to the public that they are maintained to the highest standards.
