BASINGSTOKE boy band Concept were given the thumbs up from X Factor judges after auditioning for the show.

The five lads were shown on tonight's programme singing Labrinth's Earthquake, before all four judges - Louis Walsh, Cheryl Cole, Simon Cowell and Mel B - all said yes to the group going through to the next round.

Concept, who have been together for three-and-a-half years, have 89,000 Twitter followers, and shared their excitment with fans on the social networking site during the ITV show.

It has been reported that talent spotters for X Factor asked Concept to audition for the show after hearing them perform on Twitter.

Concept, who are all former students of Queen Mary's College, Basingstoke, are made up of Karim Newton, Matt Goodenough, Scott Dicks, Nathan Gittens and Ben Selley, who is the cousin of One Direction star Harry Styles, who also found fame through X Factor.
