IT’S a craze that has swept the world as thousands of people take on the Ice Bucket Challenge to raise money for charity.

Basingstoke Town FC’s Nathan Smart was one of the latest nominees to accept the chilly challenge, which is raising awareness and funds for ALS – the charity which supports sufferers of Motor Neurone Disease.

The player nominated Max Rushden, who presents Sky Sports Soccer AM, which sponsors Basingstoke Town FC’s stadium, and television personality Keith Chegwin, who is coming to Basingstoke later this year to perform in the Christmas pantomime at The Anvil.
