THE Kaiser Chiefs will headline CarFest this weekend on Saturday night.

Chris Evans announced on his BBC Radio 2 breakfast show this morning that the English indie rock band will perform on the stage at the event this Saturday, at Laverstoke Park Farm.

The band, whose lead singer Ricky Wilson was a judge on BBC One’s The Voice, have a string of top hits including Ruby, I Predict a Riot and Never Miss a Beat.

They will headline the main stage of CarFest South following bands including Toploader and Seasick Steve.

The One Show will also be filmed for the second year at CarFest, with crowds able to watch the live show being filmed on stage on the Friday night. 

Laverstoke Park Farm will also be on television on Friday morning, when Carol Kirkwood will present the weather forecast from the farm, for BBC Breakfast News. 

Clare Scheckter, who owns Laverstoke with her husband, Jody, said: "We are very excited about hosting CarFest again and the preparations for changing peacful pastures into a wonderful festival location are almost complete."
