A WOMAN was cut free from a car last night after her vehicle crashed with a van in Kingsclere.

Firefighters from Basingstoke fire station, Tadley and Kingsclere attended the scene at 7pm and spent 20 minutes freeing the woman from her car, following the accident on the A339. 

She was taken to Basingstoke hospital by ambulance, along with the male driver of the van.

An air ambulance was called to the scene, but was not used.
